“The remarks made by President Trump about JB Pritzker at last night’s White House Correspondents’ Dinner were unnecessary, unhelpful, and downright rude. While we can and should find ways to debate policy publicly and disagree on the issues for the purpose of making our communities, state, and nation better; attacks on physical or personal traits do not move the needle forward; it just reminds regular voters why they hate politicians. In a world fraught with negativity, we could all stand to follow the First Lady Melania Trump’s push to be a little more kind.”
