Absolutely YES! Why in my 60's do I have to show an ID to purchase a bottle of wine for dinner. Why did I have to show multiple proof of id to register to vote when I got my drivers license. And now, nothing to vote! 🤦♀️

It should be common sense. Unfortunately that seems to be in short supply. It shouldn't have to be mandated.
Over here in the free state of Indiana, they check my DL every time I go to the polls. And I thank them, every time!

Yes. A few years back, another person and I share the same name, different middle initial. They voted earlier in the day and when I went, they said I had already voted. I asked them to look for the other guy and his form was still in the stack so I asked them to look in the stack that has voted and sure enough, there was my form with his signature on it AND the signatures were not even close and there was also the different middle initial. They would not let me vote on "his" ballot and had to cast a provisional ballot. I raised enough hell about it, they told me to vote and leave. Next day I pay a visit to the Recorder's office and file a formal complaint for what good it did. To this day, I show them my driver's license and tell them make sure you give me MY ballot and not the other guys, even though he moved to a different precinct. I am 57 years old, have to show my ID to buy a gun or ammo, to buy tobacco or alcohol, board a plane, open a bank account, buy insurance, take out a loan, but not to vote. BS!
