As I take a pause from running errands in Effingham, several thoughts and emotions surfaced as I stared at this receipt.
I initially had to consider the fact that JB Pritzker refuses to abolish tax on tips at the state level. He must have more of your hard earned income to feed the waste that he has created here in Illinois.
I first learned of steaknshake in July of 1988 in Springfield Illinois when our oldest son Zach was born. You wouldn’t know it if you met him, but he was a preemie and spent a few weeks at St Johns.
So much has changed.
This once great 24 hour establishment almost succumbed to the covid lockdowns, but is now making a comeback amongst much adversity.
Now I’m off to pick up a few gallons of paint. Oh, did you know that as of December 1, there is now a paint tax for Illinoisans? Every container over a pint will carry an additional fee.
